However, that changed rather suddenly this summer when servers were bombarded with a huge influx of new players. While the developers were able to start over and fix all the original game’s major issues, FFXIV’ s tarnished reputation continued to be an obstacle stunting its growth for years despite a loyal fanbase and many accolades.
